Saving Settings
Know which actions save immediately, which need confirmation and how to recover from a conflict.
Use the feature’s save action
Configurable protection modules use Enable & Save or Save changes. Welcome & Goodbye uses Save Changes for its complete configuration. Giveaways and backups use their own create, manage and confirmation flows.
Editing a field or viewing a preview does not mean that it has been saved. Wait for a success message or the confirmed state before leaving the editor.
Let pending actions finish
Verify and Honeypot may need to synchronize Discord objects after a save. Giveaways and backups are also completed by the bot. Keep the page open and inspect progress. Submitting a duplicate action will not make the original one finish sooner.
Resolve conflicts without overwriting others
If Welcome & Goodbye reports that settings changed elsewhere, reload the settings, review the latest saved version and reapply only your intended edits. The same principle helps when another moderator or a slash command changed a module while you were configuring it.
When an error reports a permission problem, fix access first. A session error requires signing in again; a temporary rate limit requires waiting.
Understand reset and disable
After a successful change, check Activity and the actual Discord result. See Common Errors if the state is unclear.
