Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about setup, voting, permissions and community tools.
What does Vote Required mean?
Verify, Anti-Alt, Anti-Nuke and Welcome & Goodbye use a Top.gg vote check. Vote with your dashboard account, return to the prompt and choose Check again. A temporary verification failure is different from a confirmed missing vote; wait and retry rather than changing your server setup.
See the relevant module guide for when its setup requires the check. Resetting the Welcome & Goodbye configuration remains available without a vote.
Why can another moderator see a different server list?
Server access is based on the signed-in Discord account and its current permissions or authorized dashboard roles. Check the account name first, then ask the server owner to review Dashboard Access. Membership alone is not enough.
Why does a feature remain pending after I save?
Some settings require Discord objects to be created or removed by the bot. Verify and Honeypot can show synchronization or pending states. Giveaways and backups also wait for the bot to complete the action. Keep the page open, check Status and avoid sending duplicates.
Does a backup restore messages or members?
No. Server Backup captures supported server structure and permission settings. It does not restore deleted channel messages, a complete member roster or integrations. Full restoration can permanently remove channels that are not in the selected snapshot; read the restore guide.
Does the welcome preview send a Discord message?
No. The Welcome & Goodbye preview is local only. Save the configuration to use it for future join or leave events. A member can also block DMs, so a working preview does not guarantee DM delivery.
Where should I report a problem?
Check Troubleshooting and Status first. Then contact SHADO5 support with the feature, visible error and steps that led to it. Remove private member details from screenshots and never share credentials.
