Common Errors

Identify the meaning of common dashboard messages and take the right next step.

Access and sessions

Message or symptomWhat to do
Session expired / sign-in requiredSign in again with the intended Discord account. Unsaved edits may need to be re-entered.
Access denied / server unavailableCheck membership, ownership, Discord Administrator permission or the authorized dashboard role. Confirm SHADO5 is still in the server.
Role or channel unavailableChoose an existing object in this server and check the bot’s channel access and role hierarchy.

Temporary service errors

Too many requests or a retry countdown means you should wait for the displayed interval. Repeated refreshes can prolong an unproductive retry cycle. A temporary status or data error does not prove the bot is offline; check Status separately.

If the vote check is unavailable, wait and use Check again. If a vote is required, complete it with the same Discord account rather than changing the feature’s channel or role settings.

Configuration errors

Message or symptomWhat to do
Settings changed elsewhereReload the configuration, review the latest version and reapply your intended edit.
Image rejectedUse a valid PNG/JPEG within the size and pixel limits. Re-export indexed, interlaced or unusual PNG files as standard RGB/RGBA or JPEG.
Sync or cleanup pendingWait for the bot to complete the existing operation. Check permissions and service availability before trying another change.

Giveaway and backup errors

An active giveaway blocks a second active giveaway. Pending actions must finish before another action is sent. A missing giveaway message may prevent a result from being updated.

Backup not found can mean the ID is wrong, the snapshot was deleted or sharing is disabled. Full restore or importing may be rejected because you are not the target server owner. An uncertain backup job requires inspecting the server and report before the owner acknowledges review.
