Quick Setup
Configure your first SHADO5 server without enabling more than you need.
What you need
You need SHADO5 in the server, a Discord account permitted to manage its dashboard and a clear idea of which features you want to use. Keep Discord open beside the dashboard so that you can check channel visibility, permissions and bot messages.
Read Discord Permissions before configuring moderation or role assignment.
1. Open your workspace
- Invite SHADO5 if needed.
- Open Dashboard and select Continue with Discord.
- Select the intended server from your server directory.
- Check the name and icon in the sidebar before making changes.
- Review the overview and any protection health warnings.
2. Enable one feature at a time
Open Protection, select a module and complete its required channel or role settings. Use Enable & Save for a disabled configurable module. The Vote Required prompt applies to Verify, Anti-Alt, Anti-Nuke and Welcome & Goodbye; vote with the same Discord account used in the dashboard and choose Check again.
Start with a dedicated log channel and the least broad role exclusions that suit your moderation policy. See Protection Settings.
3. Confirm the result
Wait for the save result. Verify and Honeypot may need time to create or remove their Discord messages or channels. A pending state is not a failed save, and it is not an invitation to submit the same action repeatedly.
Check the visible result in Discord, then review the server’s Activity view. Add welcome messages or a giveaway once the basic setup is working.
